The Dietzgen 6132 mountain transit is identical to the Path TR-300, Gurley 400W, and Schneider TT400 models, all manufactured by the same Japanese company, but imported under different names.. These are called mountain transits because they have the essential features of a full-sized transit in a smaller, lighter weight configuration that would be easier to transport through the mountains or backwoods. Compared to similarly priced level transits, the 6132 is more accurate for angle readings, and the telescope rotates a full 360 degrees in the vertical plane for steeper sighting or reverse face readings. You also get a full-size magnetic compass. This particular instrument is in exscellent cosmetic and operating condition. Of course, we have completely serviced, and calibrated it in our own shop. Even case looks great, with only moderate exterior scuffing. The 6132 comes complete with the original case, dust cap, integral sunshade, plumb bob, dust cover, and a photocopy of the owners manual. Very nice instrument for just SOLD!

Note: you will need a tripod with a 3-1/2"x8 thread, not included but available at $155.00 (CST ALW25, new).
