PATH TR300 MOUNTAIN TRANSIT
The Path TR300 mountain transit is very similar to the Schneider TT-400, Gurley 400W, and Sokkia 115/116 models. These are called mountain transits because they have the essential features of a full-sized transit in a smaller, lighter weight configuration that would be easier to transport through the mountains or backwoods. Compared to similarly priced level transits, the TR300 is more accurate for angle readings, and the telescope rotates a full 360 degrees in the vertical plane for steeper sighting or reverse face readings. You also get a full-size magnetic compass. This particular instrument is in very nice cosmetic and excellent operating condition. Of course, we have completely serviced, and calibrated it in our own shop. The case exhibits some minor scuffing on the outside, but is 100% secure. The Path comes complete with the original case, dust cap, integral sunshade, plumb bob, and a photocopy of the owners manual.
