Having no vertical or horizontal circle, the Brunson 75H Optical Transit Square was designed strictly for precise alignment applications (such as airplane manufacture). Its heavy, all-metal construction is well sealed with only a few moving parts directly exposed to the environment. This particular instrument was used indoors at an aircraft plant. Other than a few typical etchings, it is in excellent cosmetic and operating condition. It is equipped with the optional model 190 micrometer, which is graduated to .001" and allows maximum accuracy to be obtained from the instrument. Also installed is the optional model 194 coincidence (split bubble) vial, providing for even greater accuracy. The bubble vial sensitivity is 20", but a tilt of just 1" can be detected in the vial viewing prism. This unit probably has a "half-life" longer than most of your common radioactive isotopes, and comes with the standard "bomb proof" carrying case and a photocopy of the owners manual.
