| Having no vertical or horizontal circle, the Brunson 75H Optical Transit Square was designed strictly for precise alignment applications (such as airplane manufacture). Its heavy, all-metal construction is well sealed with only a few moving parts directly exposed to the environment. This particular instrument was used indoors at an aircraft plant. It is in very good cosmetic and excellent operating condition, with only a few minor finish blemishes. It is equipped with the optional model 190 micrometer, which is graduated to .001" and allows maximum accuracy to be obtained from the instrument. Also installed is the optional model 195 reversion coincidence (split bubble) vial, providing for even greater accuracy. The bubble vial sensitivity is 20", but a tilt of just 1" can be detected in the vial viewing prism. The "reversion" feature involves a second prismatic system that enables readings to be taken in the inverted telescope position. An autocollimation eyepiece is installed, although we do not have the optional illuminator which can be attached there. This unit probably has a "half-life" longer than most of your common radioactive isotopes, and comes with the standard "bomb proof" carrying case. Note: the viewing prism for the reversion vial in the "upside down" orientation has as small glass chip missing...this does not affect useability or accuracy! Completely serviced and calibrated in our own in-house repair department....priced at ...$1795.00!! | |||||||||||
